a Cat with no name

This year I consulate my presence in China to be nominated for the Best Foreign Film Animation, only five movies were nominated in a range of 300 selected films. "A Cat with no name" 2010 was Granted the Grand Prize in Cuba for best animation film.

"A Cat with no Name" was nominated for the award of Best Foreign Animated Film 16th Shanghai TV Festival" in China.
"A Cat with no Name" premiered in Cuba.
"A Cat with no Name" is based on a text by writer Natércia Rocha, who passed away in 2004 but left an important legacy in children's literature, which was her specialty.

Start of pre-production of "Milk - the transparent boy" animation series project for children in animation 3D. Start of project "Litlle Bible" a series of Bible stories for children in animation 2D. Pilot concluded in November 2010.

Between 2002 and 2005 Filmbox a new company that will replace Imagina. This studio is basically dedicated to the post-production and advertising production.

Many commercials were made in both 2D animation and real image.

The MagicToons closes its doors by the investors decision

Formed his first industrial animation studio “MagicToons” in partnership with Norberto Nunes and Manuela Carlos. Worked with over 40 visual artists, creating a mark in the history of Portuguese animation.

At this point the first step had been taken for the beginning of the animation industry in Portugal, opening doors for other initiatives such as the Belgian studio Neurones Portugal.

IMAGINA

Making innovative and high quality productions was the meaning behind the creation of Imagina Studios, a landmark in the era of the first steps to DIGITAL.

IMAGINA. The studio basically dedicated to the post-production and advertising production, between 1990 and 1999.

Many commercials were produced in 2D, 3D animation and Real Image.

Imagina definitely marked the advertising landscape in Portugal during the years of its existence.

Main illustrator in the magazine "Bread With Butter" (original title "Pão com Nanteiga")

This magazine was born with the initiative of the makers of a Radio Program with the same name, that marks a politically hot season, when Portugal leaves behind a totalitarian regime of 40 years that fell in 1974.

This magazine launched by a team of Portuguese intellectuals, people connected to jazz, literature, this magazine made a landmark in the history of publications, a cultural initiative integrating nonsense and sence of humor in the implementation of both they're texts and illustrations.

Topfilme Studios

Beginning the professional functions as an animator in the animation studio TOPFILME based on traditional animation. I worked here for about four years until November 1979.
